MINH: MY FIRST TIME IN SOUTHERN EUROPEAN COUNTRY
Well, this is my first time being in a Southern European country, and somehow it’s even colder than in Finland! I have always wanted to visit Italy, and from now I’ll stay here for the next three months. How great!
Something about me: I’m Minh, from Vietnam. I study Marketing in Finland, and now I’m on an internship in Italy. The organisation I’m working for is Acarbio, which is located in a small mountainous town called Tramonti in Amalfi Coast.
Italian people are really friendly. This is completely opposite to the Finn, who only talk when necessary. And in Tramonti, it seems like people know each other. They stop working just to say Ciao with someone they’ve never met before.
My main tasks are translating articles from Italian to English and managing a couple of social network platforms. I spent one and a half week to translate a website about the Re Fiascone tomato, and now I understand everything about this species, from its history, the cultivation, to the recovery, the organisations supporting the project, etc. The highlight was the event ‘Casa del Gusto’ occurring last Saturday with authentic Italian cuisine free of charge.

ACHRAF: MY FIRST TIME WORKING IN MY LIFE…
I am a student which is already study in morocco two years of computer engineering and now I am a mechanical engineering and production technology student in Finland and now I am doing a placement with ACARBIO in Italy and this is my story 😉 .
This is my first time working in my life, it is hard for me but day after day I feel I am more into the routine. Thanks’ to god my work is the easy one, I am just dealing with computers and programming …It isn’t a hard work.
Since I came here I had some difficulties about the climate changing, except that every think is good so far, people are kind they love talking to other people “not like Finnish people “ they do not hesitate when it comes to give you help even at work. I feel like I am at home, the staff is kind to us “me and the other new guy “ they are flexible and they do not let you work in stress and that’s what helps me to be integrated in the group .
The 11/05/2016 was a really good day for me because I get into a boxing club “Italian boxing school”, I met new people, as usual they are good people and they are helpful. After that day I feel pain in my all body but I can handle it, and it is also good for my physical condition.
