On the 18th of July 2024, the Make It Blue volunteers got involved in renovating a little square in Ponteprimario.

Some of the tasks included sanding down the benches in order to be repainted afterwards by our volunteers on the 20th of July 2024.
While they were doing these tasks, the inhabitants of the street, touched by the engagement of the volunteers, offered them different refreshments such as coffee, water and home-made lemonade; but also some chocolate.

During the break of our volunteers, some of these welcoming locals took the opportunity to converse with them as well as showing the ceramics and paintings they make in their studio.
At the end of the renovation, the community ended up being really happy about the new benches in their little square.

 

The next renovations planned will be the painting of one bench with lemons, representing the Amalfi Coast and another bench will be painted depending on the choice of the inhabitants. We will introduce them some ideas and the favorite one will be realized in the end of July 2024.
